Tin can't get hardshell clean
My hardshell (Arc'teryx Beta AR, Gore-Tex) has got some stains over the by weeks and besides accumulated a lot of grease around the collar. I have washed information technology a couple of times in the past with Nikwax, at present I used Grangers. Put it in the washing machine according to the manufacturer's instructions and after taking it out it looked ... exactly the same. Literally no improvement whatsoever on any of the stains. And I'm non talking carmine wine or some other nasty stuff, just the usual dirt. Pretty disappointing.
It looks similar I demand something stronger, particularly for the grease in the collar area - according to what I read soap based techwash doesn't piece of work well on grease, so I was thinking a liquid detergent, then a Grangers cycle to get rid of all the detergent, and then reproofing with a spray and off information technology goes into the dryer.
Detergents are explicitly not recommended by Gore-Tex and the manufacturers, but equally the techwash stuff doesn't seem to work I feel compelled to utilize something stronger, even though I obviously don't want to harm my pretty pricey jacket. Has anyone tried liquid detergent on Gore-Tex and can offer advise?

That's what you want to do. Liquid soap/soap flakes just aren't as constructive when it comes to a lot of clay and grease. The detergent will accept care of that then as y'all say the liquid lather will trounce the detergent and it'southward ready for reproofing.

Nikwax is non recommended by Arc'teryx (as per 1 of their company representatives) on their products. Evidently Grangers works better with their top layer.
Lather Flakes is decent shout.

Something to practise with how the chemicals react with the top fabrics Arc'teryx utilize. something to do with particles building in top of each other to brand hair like structures. Not got a detailed respond for you I'thou sorry.

I would mayhap contact ArcTeryx directly and see what they would recommend.
There Product Intendance page seems quite comprehensive:

I would endeavor rubbing neat solution into the stains. Grangers is recommended past the company just i've used tech launder. Or you could try liquid fairy for dress, the blue stuff, it must be non bio.

I accept actually since contacted Arc'teryx and got a very comprehensive and helpful reply with several options to try out. I guess it applies to most Gore-Tex gear, in case anyone is interested I can translate information technology (contacted the High german customer service) and post information technology here.
