Jenn-Air Oven (JJW9130DDB)
The right-well-nigh buttons take stopped responding (three, 6, 9 and oven light). The rest of the touch pad is working unremarkably.
I'g trying to find out if I should order a new Control Panel, or a new Control Clock (the electronics behind the panel) they are both they same cost - about $150 (each). I am told that I cannot render them once I get them.
Any communication?

Thanks
Shay

    Here are your parts
    Replacement parts for JENN-AIR JJW9130DDB | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is a tech sheet and a service transmission

    http://world wide web.servicematters.com/grand...ibrary/docs/16026545.pdf

You may not take to order any parts.
You volition detect that all the keys you mentioned use track ten on the ribbon cablevision as a common, could exist this connection is just dirty.

    RIBBON CABLE CLEANING
    Unplug the unit
    Open it upwardly
Remove the ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board at the control board.
    Clean the edge connector.
If information technology is the type where there is not a connector simply the insulation is removed, it tin be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Exercise not use an ink eraser as information technology is as well abrasive.
Check the tracks in the ribbon cable for hairline cracks. A magnifying glass helps here.
Would non hurt to make clean the connector on the board. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a molar castor. Be gentle and do not reconnect till all the solvent evaporates.
Reconnect everything and give information technology a try.

Could also bank check information technology with a meter.
Check from rails ten to other no good key tracks as it may be a fissure on the ribbon cablevision that you cannot run into or on the actual keypad itself
. If no skilful then it is a keypad trouble.
If OK and then it could be the control board
Odds are high that this is a keypad/connectedness problem.

I take the exact same issue on jenn air jjw8130dds

I followed your instructions and removed the ribbon cablevision and cleaned it. I reseated the cable and take the same issue. The iii, 6, 9, and oven low-cal are not working.

Also wondering the same question, what part to supercede?

        Cheers in accelerate :)

Could be either the keypad or the control board that is why checking information technology with a meter is of import.

The more likely of the ii is the keypad.

            Cheers for your quick reply.

Where do I want to validate with the meter? I know yous mentioned trace 10, but I am not sure how to validate that. I assume you are suggesting doing a continuity examination across the ribbon, just I tin not see where / how to validate that.

            Thanks again!:)

Here is the service transmission and the tech sheet for your unit

The tech canvass gives the process.

Don't forget that oftentimes this is just a dirty connector!!!

                Thank you: 1 times

Thank you!! This worked for me! The 2 top rows of the numeric keypad were not responding, but cleaning the ribbon cablevision connectedness fixed it.

I initially checked all the connections and fifty-fifty swapped out the control board with a spare. I figured it was probably either the ribbon cablevision or the keypad as the problem remained after the swap.

I so pulled the ribbon cable and cleaned its connectors and those on the control board with 99% booze. Powered it up…and it worked!
